Colorado Festivals and Events Association (CFEA) is made up of members representing community festivals, ethnic celebrations, music festivals, arts festivals, sporting events, historical celebrations, venues, chambers of commerce, parks and recreation districts, county fairs, rodeos, event vendors, and more. If there's a special event in Colorado, chances are it's run by someone who's a member of CFEA.
Benefits
CONFERENCES & SEMINARS
CFEA holds an annual educational conference and trade show, bringing in some of the nation's leading festival and event speakers.
Annual Conference & Trade Show - Held each spring at locales across the state, from Colorado Springs to Vail. Nearly 200 event professionals gather for this annual spring program to share information, attend educational sessions, hear keynote presentations and have a great time socializing and networking with their fellow event colleagues. The Trade Show gives members a chance to meet and learn more about vendors who serve the industry. This three-day event is the highlight of the year for CFEA members.
Super Seminars - These half or full day programs are held each year to provide specialized educational development on timely topics in the event industry. Well-known local, regional and national experts are brought in to address event issues ranging from creating sponsorship programs to working effectively with the media.
PUBLICATIONS & MEDIA
Membership Directory - Published in the early part of each year, this comprehensive directory is arranged by organization, by member name and by category. Need entertainment? Insurance? Who are your colleagues in other cities or towns? The directory has phone and fax numbers as well as website addresses for other members.
Quarterly Newsletter - This provides details about upcoming conferences and seminars, member benefits, industry-related articles, member news, CFEA sponsor profiles, event listings and other information relative to members.
Web Site - CFEA's website www.coloradofestival.com is where you can find the latest information about CFEA. The site includes information on programs and seminars, a member events calendar, member listing and the latest new affecting CFEA members. Links to member sites are available for a small fee.
Events Calendar - A comprehensive listing of member's festivals and events across the state is published on the website. Members receive a listing with contact information.
NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
We always hear that the networking is the best part of CFEA membership, and we have several ways of helping you maintain your networks throughout the year.
E-Networking All Year 'Round! - This is an email group that makes it quick and simple to post messages and get feedback from all the members - right from your desktop! If you have questions, suggestions, ideas that you want to share with other members, you simply post them to this group - your post will go to all subscribers at once. Usually you will receive back lots of useful help. For instance, if you are desperate for a gelato vendor and don't know one...just ask! Need to rent a gazebo? Want a contact for a military band? Trying something new and need advice? ...just ask. We love to share!
Network After Hours - Network After Hours events give you the opportunity to meet face-to-face with your peers throughout the year. We get together frequently "after hours" to chat, meet new members and catch up with old ones. Each function is in a different place - sometimes close to you - sometimes further away, but closer to someone else. It's a great opportunity to hang with your peers and swap "event" stories.
